CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, VGCCC
- Shape a public sector agency with a dynamic mandate
- Drive better regulation
- Foster an environment of integrity, collaboration, and innovation
About the organisation
The Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC) is the independent regulator of Victoria's gambling industry, ensuring integrity, safety and fairness for all. The VGCCC operates as an independent public sector agency under a Commission structure, with Commissioners as board members fulfilling dual roles as statutory decision-makers and board directors. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is appointed by the Commission in consultation with the Minister and is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the organisation. Following the success of the inaugural CEO, the Commission now seeks an outstanding appointee to lead the organisation into its next phase.
About the role
As the pivotal link between the board and the organisation’s operational arm, the CEO drives the agency's strategic goals while ensuring compliance with public sector values and governance frameworks. Working closely with the Chair and Commissioners and supported by the executive team and the Office of the CEO, the CEO leads key relationships across government, industry, and stakeholders, fostering excellence in service delivery and risk management. The CEO oversees a diverse team of more than 220 staff across two locations, defining and nurturing the organisational culture, steering operational excellence, and fostering innovation to align with legislative and industry standards. The CEO works to shape and implement corporate strategies while maintaining rigorous governance, and acting as the public face of the organisation. With a focus on collaboration, transparency, and accountability, the CEO ensures organisational priorities are met, drives stakeholder engagement, and champions equity and inclusivity in the workplace.
