About the Role
Reporting to the Executive Director, Financial Resources, this newly created position leads an existing team of 6 direct and 57 indirect reports, and will guide the continued evolution of the Finance Business Partnering function. The Director will foster a culture of collaboration and excellence, building on the team’s existing strengths while developing new capabilities aligned with strategic priorities. Working collaboratively with colleagues across the University, the role is central to strengthening enterprise-wide financial leadership, enhancing stakeholder support, and delivering actionable insights that enable informed decision-making. As the University continues its broader transformation, including the rollout of Workday, the Director will ensure the function fully leverages contemporary ERP systems and delivers high-quality, future-focused support.
About You
You are a highly strategic finance leader with demonstrated experience building best practice, contemporary business partnering functions and leading finance transformation in similarly complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Your leadership style is collaborative, decisive and proactive with a focus on fostering growth, trust, diversity and high performance, and you are proven in your ability to drive continuous improvement and deliver strategic value. Adaptable and resilient, you move at pace, bring a forward-thinking mindset and a track record of navigating change with clarity, care and purpose. Your strong interpersonal and influencing skills enable you to build trusted relationships across a diverse team and stakeholder group. Experience working with contemporary ERP platforms such as Workday will be highly regarded. CPA, CA or equivalent preferred.
