The Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority (VIDA) is responsible for delivering the biggest transport and health infrastructure program in Victorian history. This includes more than 200 projects such as the Metro Tunnel, North East Link, West Gate Tunnel, removal of level crossings, new and upgraded hospitals and specialist programs such as early parenting centre expansions and upgrades. About the role

The Director Procurement (Chief Procurement Officer) will lead the transition to a centralised procurement function for VIDA and its project offices, embedding the integration of procurement functions, developing and implementing standardised procurement processes and driving alignment across a key group of stakeholders. The appointee will oversee procurement strategy, category management, and supplier engagement, ensuring compliance with legislative and value-for-money principles while driving innovation and efficiency. Leading a high-performing team, the Director Procurement (Chief Procurement Officer) will foster collaboration, continuous improvement and capability development. With a strong focus on governance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement, the role will optimise procurement outcomes, enhance supplier relationships, and provide expert strategic advice to support VIDA’s executive leadership and long-term objectives.

About you

With experience gained in similar roles leading high-profile public sector procurement functions, you are an approachable and confident senior procurement leader who gets things done while holding yourself and others accountable. Collaborative and people-focused, you navigate complex stakeholder relationships with integrity, sound judgement, proven influencing skills and subject matter expertise. You excel at balancing priorities, having the ability to achieve pragmatic outcomes in a complex, multi-faceted environment with competing drivers. A pragmatic and results orientated critical thinker, you have the ability to work at a high level of delegated authority and to make agile, confident and evidence-based decisions that consider costs and benefits and create value. You feel a personal alignment with VIDA’s purpose and values and are motivated by the positive impact the organisation delivers for all Victorians.
