The Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) delivers the Victorian Government’s multi-billion-dollar health infrastructure projects, spanning hospitals, mental health, aged care, and ambulance services statewide. Under the umbrella of the Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority, VHBA provides technical expertise in engineering, property, asset management, and sustainability, ensuring innovative and future-ready healthcare solutions for all Victorians.
About the role
As Executive Director, Office of the CEO (ED OCEO) you will lead seamless management of the OCEO, ensuring the CEO and Executive Leadership Team remain focused on key priorities while overseeing ministerial and parliamentary services for VHBA. The ED OCEO leads a diverse team delivering high-level support services to meet legislative and accountability obligations, including Cabinet submissions, parliamentary processes, and governance reporting. Facilitating effective information flow, decision-making, and issue resolution, the ED OCEO ensures strategic alignment across portfolios towards VHBA’s continued excellence in delivery of health facilities for Victoria.
About you
Ideally presenting with a deep understanding of navigating the Victorian public sector context, you are an approachable and confident senior leader who gets things done, while holding yourself and others accountable, with experience gained in similar roles including ‘Chief of Staff’. Collaborative and people-focused, you navigate complex situations with integrity, sound judgement, proven influencing skills, unquestionable integrity and political neutrality. You excel at quickly grasping technical details, establishing governance systems, making decisions under pressure, and solving problems practically. Highly credible and well-qualified, you excel in communication and negotiation, engaging effectively with senior stakeholders. You align with VHBA’s purpose and values, and are motivated by its positive impact for the community.
