About the role
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the General Manager – Automotive (GM) will lead the formulation and execution of sales strategies and plans to achieve revenue, profit and sales objectives. Pivotal to the organisation’s success, the role will also oversee the creation of product strategies and life cycle planning to achieve sales and profit targets. The GM will inspire a broad team including regional network and performance, sales strategy and operations, dealer development, product planning, logistics, vehicle asset planning, and emerging technologies. A key member of the SLT, the appointee will partner with related internal departments, ensuring they function effectively and collaboratively. The GM will apply sales best practice across the business and network, drive network engagement, and work in lock step with marketing and digital.
About you
You are a proven leader of high performing national sales teams within the automotive franchise sector. You possess deep experience in sales strategy development and execution, and market and data analysis, and can develop, direct, implement and review action plans to achieve revenue, profit and sales objectives. A collaborative, influential and credible communicator, you succeed through your inspiring people leadership style, strong business acumen, issue identification, analytical skills, problem solving and financial literacy. Underpinning your track record in achieving business objectives are your attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, understanding of franchise networking and state operations, and ability to lead and motivate a national sales team. Your passion for and ability to collaborate with functional teams business-wide to drive organisational effectiveness will see you flourish in this exciting growth business.
