About the organisation
State Library Victoria (SLV) is home to the State Collection - a place where each year millions are welcomed in to a ‘great emporium of learning’, just as the founders envisaged over 160 years ago when the library opened its doors as ‘the people’s university’. SLV’s vision is of a library for all in a changing world - a library built on the pillars of inclusion, empowerment, community and future. It aspires to be globally recognised as a major destination for stimulating cultural experiences, a trusted place for contemporary debates and community-driven collecting, and a gateway to leading-edge digital experiences that invite new and creative ways to use the collection.
About the role

The primary focus of the position will be to develop and implement commercial strategies to maximise income from retail, catering, events, sponsorships, and partnerships alongside other non-governmental sources. The appointee will ensure the facilities support a safe, sustainable, and inspiring environment, fostering collaboration and innovation while ensuring commercial, procurement and asset management strategies align with SLV’s long-term goals.
